Musical Ministry - Richard Vanceunebrouck-Werth's music ministry has reached tens of thousands around the world in the past few years through live concerts, and with recordings such as "Sacred Fusion" and "Sacred Sojourn," which have consistently appeared high on international charts. |

The World Meditation Ensemble has an outstanding repertoire of eclectic spiritual music and their musicians perform in a professional manner, doing great honor to the compositions. Under the leadership of their director, Richard Vanceunebrouck-Werth, the World Meditation Ensemble has captivated audiences at Sakya Monastery to the extent that attendees not only come to their performances again and again but also bring new people into their fold. The best recommendation that I can put forward is of my personal experience working and listening to the group.

Richard Vanceunebrouck-Werth's CD, "Sacred Fusion" is soulful musical mastery. I was awed by its technical arrangement of sound and its ability to close the gap of diverse cultural musical perspectives bringing the sounds of the world together. It inspires the "wholeness concept," bringing the mind-body-spirit into oneness with the use of rhythm and vibrations. Sacred and honoring - remarkable!

As a 90-year-old, I recognize that I am well set in my ways. However, when I recently went with my daughter to attend a concert by the World Meditation Ensemble, I was surprised to find that I was totally immersed in the music.
The combination of instruments, both old and unusual, singing, and offering chants from native Americans, aborigines, and other ethnic groups became very involving. I couldn't help but move to the rhythm of the music, and if I had known the chants you would have heard me singing.
It was a very enjoyable evening. When I left, it was with a sense of peace and joy in my heart. Music is magical, especially when it is offered by a group as committed and caring as this one.

I have been in the World Meditation Music Ensemble, directed by Richard Vanceunebrouck-Werth, for nearly 5 years. It is an all volunteer group in which he puts forth the bulk of the energy. I am moved by his patience in working with individuals of widely varying musical skills, and in his encouraging them to grow within their desires and abilities. It is clearly a labor of love.
I am impressed with the breadth of his musical skills and his abilities as a producer and recording engineer. Multi-talented, on the last CD he photographed and designed the cover art, too. I am grateful not only the opportunity to play meaningful music I enjoy, but also for being able to share it with very appreciative audiences. He has also given us the chance to learn and work with the recording process, and our music is being regularly downloaded around the world. Richard Vanceunebrouck-Werth is doing a great service for both the WME members and the community.
